You may remember Alex Barris. He was a journalist (had the Barris Beat column for the Toronto Star) and he was a panel participant in the old TV series Front Page Challenge, as well as being an actor. Well, his son Ted Barris is also a journalist & has written a new book, recently on the market, called Rush To Danger. His father was a US Medic during WW2 and was at the Battle of the Bulge among other things. Ted’s book honours him primarily but it also contains the history of US and Canadian medical battlefield  stories from the American Revolution through the war of 1812 and the American Civil War to the Northwest Rebellion and up to the US war in Iraq.
