Congratulations to Dr. Peter W. Vaughan, CM, CD, MA, MD, MPH, ICD.D, on being named as a member of the Order of Canada in recognition of his contributions to Canada’s health care system, and for his pioneering leadership in the establishment and advancement of digital health.

Dr. Vaughan served as a Medical Officer and flight surgeon in the CFMS for three years in the Reg F and then longer in the Res F. Dr. Vaughan was also Colonel Commandant of the CFMS.

Dr. Vaughan is Board Chair, Canada Health Infoway, Board Chair, WellteQ Digital Health, and Treasurer, the Supply Chain Advancement Network for Health (SCAN Health).He is former Deputy Minister of Health and Wellness, Province of Nova, CEO of South Shore District Health Authority, Board Chair, Accreditation Canada, and CEO of the Canadian Medical Association, and former member of the Government of Canada’s Innovation, Science and Economic Development Ministry’s Health/Bioscience Economic Strategy Table
